This poem was written by Ananya Mittal and Kairavi Bharat Ram as part of their awareness campaign for She's Against Rape. All the actors are their peers and teachers from The Shri Ram School who wanted to contribute to this cause and help make a difference. Everything from writing the poem to designing and shooting the video has been done by students themselves.
Raising Voice Against Rape

Where the ones that should protect us, are the people that we fear; Where we don't even feel safe, with the people that are dear.
Why is a woman not allowed out at night, Doesn't every human deserve the same right!
It's not just the girls, to whom this is being done; It happens to boys, maybe to your own son...
She feels like it's her fault, and doesn't deserve to live, She succumbs to the guilt and her life she does give.
Just because she is his wife, doesn't make it okay; He does not have any right, to take her modesty away.
Fathers do it to their daughters, to their own little girls; What on Earth is wrong, with this crazy, messed up world.
About Us
Last summer, I attended a two week leadership seminar hosted by the Aspen Institute India. Part of the program was for us to formulate a 'leadership agenda' - a project that we would take on for the next couple of years in a field that we were passionate about.
